Adapted a training tool for SMEs involved in the Leather value chain known as Basic Record Keeping Skills - Course 01 – for Micro and Small enterprises within the Leather value chain (January 2016)


Trained 15 participants (staff) of BDSPs under the DFID funded MADE project as trainers of the NAEC, an agricultural enterprise course initiated by USAID MARKETS II (September 2015)

355 SMEs directly trained
901 artisans (still counting) indirectly trained through cooperative members
2016 Activities
Several cooperatives began accessing loans from the Bank of Agriculture, Aba (October 2015 – March 2016)
Rolled out two sets of Catfish and Aqua-Business technical training + Market Link events attended by SMEs
In October 2016, launched a Technical and Enterprise Curriculum for poultry farmer-producers in Ondo State, offering ongoing technical guidance to both new and continuing poultry farmers
May 2017
GSI Tech partnered with Ondo State NYSC’s Skills Acquisition and Enterprise Development scheme to train and mentor young graduates in the agro-allied sector. Trainees receive post-training mentorship and coaching to help them stabilize their chosen enterprises and attract external support through NYSC influence.
